Sleep health leader hires Jason Ong, PhD to spearhead behavioral approaches to company initiatives.

ATLANTA — May 3, 2021 — Nox Health continues to expand its SleepCharge clinical and research teams with the addition of Dr. Jason Ong as Director of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ong will be responsible for developing and implementing empirically-based behavioral and psychological programming within SleepCharge to enhance the delivery of comprehensive population-based sleep healthcare. He will work with the medical, clinical science and telehealth operations teams to integrate the principles of behavioral sleep medicine across the Nox Health system.

“Dr. Ong is a valuable addition to our team and will play an integral role in advancing our sleep health programs by leading our behavioral sleep medicine program,” said Dr. Jeffrey Durmer, Nox Health Chief Medical Officer. “Our holistic approach to population sleep health is designed to integrate medical, neuroscientific and behavioral health principles. Dr. Ong’s experience and leadership in the field of behavioral sleep medicine, mindfulness and technology-based therapeutic programs will advance our people-centered SleepCharge program by not only enhancing behavioral healthcare and clinical outcomes, but also by evolving our approach to personalized healthcare.”

He joins Nox Health from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, where he was an associate professor in the Department of Neurology (Sleep Medicine), Medical Social Sciences, and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He received more than $10 million in research support over his career and published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, reviews, and a book on mindfulness-based therapies for insomnia.
